Business First Impressions
55Many small business start-ups will go to a local printer for the basic business card, select an icon from a page of over used clip art, and try to promote the business by passing out the cards to friends and family in hopes of "word of mouth" referrals.
While this may work for some, it will not work if you have intentions of going viral. Sit down with a professional corporate ID designer or go online and request submissions from graphic artists. People will then associate the logo to your business and know that it is unique.
Another route is to get in contact with a local sign company, because once you have a logo, the sign company will be able to incorporate it at your business location. Sign companies are also very capable of designing a logo, and some may even design a logo at no charge if you have them manufacture your signs.
You want the potential customer to be able to identify your business with a logo that sets you apart from your competition.
